About this cocktail

CleanCo has partnered with Tipsy Parties to craft the ultimate festive sip – the Tipsy Winter Mojito. Fresh, frosty, and completely hangover-free!

About The Winter Mojito

The Winter Mojito takes everything you love about the traditional mojito—fresh mint, lime, and light sweetness - and gives it a seasonal upgrade with the simple addition of ginger ale. This small change makes a big impact, adding warmth, spice, and a bubbly kick that’s perfect for cold weather.

While mojitos are often associated with sunshine and summer, the winter version is all about balance: crisp and refreshing, but with a hint of cozy spice. Swapping out soda water for ginger ale introduces subtle notes of ginger and caramel, which pair beautifully with the brightness of lime and the freshness of mint. It still feels light and vibrant, but with a deeper flavor that fits right in at holiday gatherings, après-ski hangouts, or cozy nights in.

When To Serve A Winter Mojito

The Winter Mojito is great for entertaining because it feels festive without being overly complicated. It's a crowd-pleaser that can be served as a non-alcoholic mocktail or made boozy with a splash of white rum - totally your call. Either way, the ginger ale brings a comfort-food kind of vibe to a drink that’s typically all about the tropics.

Garnish it with a cinnamon stick, pomegranate seeds, or a sprig of rosemary to give it even more winter character. However you dress it up, the Winter Mojito proves that some summer favorites are worth keeping around year-round, especially when they come with a little ginger sparkle.

Ingredients for 1 person

  • 1.5 oz Clean R
  • 1/2 oz Lime juice
  • 1 tsp light muscovado sugar
  • 1 tsp caster sugar
  • 6-8 mint leaves
  • Ginger ale (to top off)
  • Ice (crushed)
  • Garnish: Mint sprig (optional)

Top tip: Gently muddle the mint leaves using a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their aroma and oils.

Method

Step 1

Prepare the Glass: Take a highball glass and add the light muscovado sugar and caster sugar. Pour in the lime juice and gently mix until the sugars dissolve.

Step 2

Add Mint Leaves: Place 6-8 fresh mint leaves into the glass. Gently muddle the mint leaves using a muddler or the back of a spoon to release their aroma and oils. Be careful not to tear the leaves too much.

Step 3

Add Clean R: Pour in 1.5 oz of Clean R and give it a gentle stir to mix.

Step 4

Add Ice: Fill the glass with crushed ice, almost to the top.

Step 5

Top with Ginger Ale: Add a splash of ginger ale to top off the drink, giving it a festive, warming twist.

Step 6

Garnish: Garnish with a sprig of mint. For an extra wintery touch, dust the mint with a bit of icing sugar to mimic snow.

Step 7

Serve and Enjoy: Insert a straw and serve immediately.
