See RecipeThis Blood Moon Negroni is both bold and intriguing, with a hint of sweetness and a Halloween vibe, perfect for sipping by candlelight! All treats no tricks...
The Blood Moon Negroni is a striking twist on the classic Italian cocktail, offering the familiar bitter-sweet balance of a Negroni with a dramatic citrus-forward upgrade. Named for its deep red hue and mysterious flavor, the Blood Moon version swaps in blood orange in place of (or in addition to) the usual orange garnish or citrus elements, adding a rich, tangy depth and a seasonal flair.
At its core, this cocktail stays true to the original Negroni formula—typically equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari—but the addition of blood orange juice or liqueur creates a slightly sweeter, fruitier profile that balances out the bitterness. The result is complex, bold, and refreshing, with a deep color and flavor that stand out in any glass.
The Blood Moon Negroni is especially popular in Halloween time, or in late winter when blood oranges are in season, but its bold, modern aesthetic and refined taste make it a year-round favorite for cocktail lovers looking for something familiar but elevated.
Whether served up or on the rocks, garnished with a slice of blood orange or a twist of peel, this Negroni variation is perfect for those who enjoy the classic but want a fruit-forward twist that still honors the drink’s iconic roots.
